One of the biggest stories of Chilean wine is the history and recent revival of the chilean grape, Carmenere. Before Carmenere became so popular in Chile, it had a long history in Bordeaux, France as part of the original 6 grapes allowed in the 'Bordeaux Blend'. New Arrival!

April 24, 2012

We recently received a a large shipment of Chilean red wine from one of Chile's oldest producers, Vina Tarapaca, which was founded in 1874. The vineyards at Tarapaca are located in the Maipo Valley, which is one of the most traditional valleys for producing wine from Chile. A unique ecosystem exists here to foster the  development of wines of excellence, where a careful selection of the grapes from the right terroir from each variety, favors obtaining high quality, complex and balanced wines.
