2005 Botalcura Nebbiolo - Maule Valley, Chile

Botalcura is the only Chilean winery to work with the Nebbiolo grape, which produces Barolo and Barbaresco in its native Piedmont, Italy. This Nebbiolo has an attractive brick-red color and intense spicy aromas with notes of berries, dried fig and raisins. The wine has firm tannins and acidity, balanced with lush fruit flavors. The 2005 vintage is beginning to mature now, but will continue to improve for another 3-5 years.
